Benefits of Health & Wellness Coaching

A Health & Wellness Coach will provide you with valuable information that can help you improve your health and/or well-being, but your coach will also help you dig deep as to why you have been mistreating your body in the first place. A person can follow the instructions of a professional to loose weight or get in-shape, but unless the underlying cause is uncovered and understood, maintaining the achieved progress will either be a challenge or the person will end up going back to their unhealthy ways and eventually, undoing everything they worked so hard to achieve.

My Approach to Health & Wellness Coaching

Where you are NOW 

I start my Health & Wellness Coaching by having new clients complete a Whole Life Assessment, a deeply personal and private, self-examination of the major areas of their life. It has been found that when just one area of your life is out-of-balance, it can significantly effect your level of your health, so we need to start with an accurate picture of where your life currently stands in regard to your needs. The areas included in the Whole Life Assessment include living as your authentic self, work/life purpose, relationships, spirituality, sexuality, relationship with money, environment, mental health, and physical health.

If this sounds a bit spiritual, it is, because life is spiritual. I believe that we are spiritual beings having a human experience, and that our Divine selves are without a doubt the larger part of us. It is this belief that has allowed me to reach my own potential, overcome major obstacles, embrace life to its fullest, and at the same time, not take everything so seriously.

No one is perfect and all of us are works in progress, so to expect everyone to be completely in-balance is asking for the impossible. What we can do, however, is to make sure all of the fore-mentioned areas of our lives are not so out-of-balance that they hinder us in our personal growth. It is my first responsibility to support you in living a balanced life, so you can bring your personal best to help you achieve your goals.

In addition to the Whole Life Assessment, I utilize the insight that I gained from Julia Cannon and her work on interpreting what our bodies are trying to tell us through various aches, pains, and conditions as well as Dr. Lissa Rankin’s work on our body’s natural ability to heal itself. As a coach, I share what worked for me, so I can help you achieve maximum health & wellbeing. Just a note of caution, if you ignore the whispers, your body has no choice but to scream to get your attention. Total wellbeing includes having the mind, body, and spirit, all being in-balanced, and this is the fundamental basis for my Health & Wellbeing Coaching Methodology.

Where You Would Like to Be in the Near Future

After you have an accurate picture of where you are in your life, I will support you in helping you to uncover what you really want out of life in terms of your health and wellbeing. This is the really exciting part because you get to either fine-tune aspects of your life or you get to redesign it to meet the needs of your authentic self. No matter your journey, I will be here to support you in establishing your goals, mapping out a strategy to achieve your goals, side-setting any foreseen roadblocks, and holding you accountable to following through on your determined actions.

Once you have achieved a couple of your goals, you will then be empowered to pursue the rest of them on your own. Remember, the goal of a coach is to help you to tap into your potential, so you are then empowered to create the life you’ve always dreamed, not to keep you as a long-term client.
